The “official” wedding season may be between May and September, but we’ve seen some truly gorgeous weddings in the fall and winter. And, having a fall wedding doesn’t mean you have to serve pumpkin spice lattes after dinner. (Although, as guests, we wouldn’t hate it…) Here are five fall wedding trends we’re committed to!
Pops of (jewel tone) color
Deep reds, forest greens, midnight blues. You can still be colorful in Fall, but set your focus on jewel tones.
“Wild” bouquets
Pristine bouquets are so last season. This fall, create your bouquet to look more natural and wild – let it look more loose, include some greens such as eucalyptus, and add some dahlias for extra flair.
Seasonal cocktails
Expand your bar beyond the rail. Work with your venue – or hire a trained mixologist – to craft a menu of cocktails fitting for the season. Apple cider martinis, anyone?
High drama portraits
Although posed photos of the bridal party, groomsmen, and family members are a given, we’ve seen a trend on taking portraits of the bride & groom that look like they belong in the Louvre. Let your photographer take the lead on constructing some dramatic poses – they’ll look great in your home as a large format Print.
Minimal venues
With rich pops of color in a bridal party, the flowers, and the decor, many brides and grooms are opting for a sleeker, more minimal type of venue.
