The great return of weddings is here! Schedules are packed again with wedding festivities and many changes to the industry have impacted couples and vendors alike. While wedding planning has proven to be difficult in the current climate, we're so happy they're back and brides and grooms are being celebrated in a grand way again! Check out our 5 favorite 2022 wedding trends.
1. Bright & bold color selections!
From florals to bridesmaids' dresses, 2022 brides and grooms are opting for all things color! We love the playful use of bold hues throughout the wedding that speak to the personality of the happy couple. Neutrals will always be a favorite but we love seeing couples express themselves with something bold!
2. Virtual RSVPs
In an effort to use less paper, not rely on the post office, and for instant response times, many couples have been opting for virtual RSVPs. Whether that's including a QR code on the back of your invite to directly lead your guests to an RSVP website like The Knot or even an email address that is strictly just for collecting RSVPs, we've been loving this trend that simplifies this somewhat archaic process. Modern etiquette has shifted in a way we're really enjoying!
3. Weekday Weddings
While this might not be a favorite for guests, weekday weddings have become super popular in 2022. Ever since the pandemic hit, the wedding industry has been struggling to catch up from all the postponements and if a couple has their heart set on a certain timeline, venue, or vendor, this sometimes is the only option!
4. Champagne Towers
Out with the cake cutting and in with the champagne tower pour! This fun tradition has been all over the 2022 wedding circuit, and for good reason! Couples are photographed pouring champagne into stacked flutes for their guests to enjoy. The photos always turn out incredible and it's such a fun and unique moment for the newlyweds!
5. Private Vows
We’ve been seeing many couples opt to read their personal vows in private to each other right after their first look. This makes for a special intimate moment where the couple can express their love in private. Not only will this help calm nerves for the ceremony if you and your spouse are not a fan of public speaking but it also allows for a quicker ceremony so the party can get started!
