The first day of school is always a special milestone for both parents and children. It marks the start of a new chapter filled with growth, learning, and memories. For many parents capturing this moment with back-to-school photos has become a cherished tradition. These photos not only document how much your child has grown year after year, but they also serve as a keepsake of these fleeting moments.
The kids of Nations Photo Lab are back to school and you know their photo-loving parents had to capture the moment. Check out an update from the team and our favorite milestone photos!
1. Harvis, CEO
My 7 and 5 year old are at the same elementary school this year (kindergarten and 2nd grade). My daughter was very nervous to get on a bus for the first time, but luckily her big brother sat next to her and made her feel comfortable. I bring their bikes to the bus stop in the afternoons so they can ride them home. Every day they see each other at school and give each other big hugs in the hallway!
So far they’re enjoying their classes. My 5 year old daughter already told me she has a boyfriend after two weeks, which I am not so thrilled about! My youngest daughter, who is only 1.5 years old, helps me pick them up/drop them off on Fridays. She can’t wait to go to school with them too in 3 years.

Every year that passes is shorter than the last and I'm finding that to be especially true with summer! These first day of school photos are such a fun way to mark this moment in time and stop to reflect on how much my kids have changed in just a year. I am so glad to have a way to always remember my 6 year old with his skinned knee and toothless smile, my 4 year old with his surfer dude hair and sun tanned skin, and my 1 year old who will repeat anything I do but with a smile on his face and a diaper sticking out of the top of his shorts. I hope they have a great year!

After a summer full of beach days, amusement parks, farm visits, pool days, bike rides, and lots and lots of popsicles, Riley headed to school for her first time ever! We're all so excited for Kindergarten!
4. Jenna, Marketing Specialist
Another summer flew by and was gone in a blink! We soaked up the warm weather and made unforgettable memories as a family. My 3 and 4 year old learned to swim, traveled to the beach, and found out they were getting a new brother or sister this winter. They headed back to Pre-K so we had to take our annual back-to-school photos, which are always so special to me. I always print the photos to see how much they grow each year and add them to their memory boxes. I love capturing these milestone moments year after year.
